| DESCRIPTION
|
Working under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and the general supervision of the Medical Physicist, produces patient plans of treatment. Also responsible for radioactive material and safe handling, and must be competent in all components of Radiation Therapy.
Must be a graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) accredited Radiation Therapist program or equivalent, in addition to one of the following: Medical Dosimetry certification from the MDCB, or graduate of an accredited program for medical dosimetry, with a minimum of yrs experience in dosimetry, or have at least two years of on-the-job training with intent to take dosimetry boards within the year. Minimum of yrs experience in Radiation Therapy required.
Desired Job Experience: Minimum of yrs experience as a Medical Dosimetrist. Familiarity with IMRT, IGRT, and brachytherapy preferred.
Certifications Required: CMD certification preferred. AHA (American Heart Association) CPR certification required.
Other Qualifications: Must be able to work quickly and accurately to develop and implement the best treatment plan for each patient. Must be able to work under pressure and a demanding schedule. Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. |
