Plans and manages special events and projects within the Nursing Institute for the Department of Nursing Education's student nursing programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Responsible for the management and maintenance of compliance records ensuring schools of nursing and nursing students comply with HIPPA and confidentiality policies within the Cleveland Clinic Health System. Coordinates the administrative activities for affiliating schools. Responds to inquiries about nursing education programs, student employment opportunities and careers in nursing. Performs other related duties as assigned. Associate Degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Project management knowledge required including planning: management of special events and projects; resource management. Demonstrated competency with the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheet and clinical administrative database packages. Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to meet established project deadlines. Demonstrated knowledge of principles of performance improvement, data management techniques including student, faculty and nurse manager surveys. Works independently with little direction, results oriented. Minimum of five years related experience in a healthcare or an educational setting dealing with administration of educational programs and special projects. Three years of office management experience with special projects may offset three years of healthcare experience or experience in an educational setting. Proficient with spreadsheet, word processing, and database software. High degree dexterity to operate office equipment. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision. Working knowledge of Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) accreditation and regulatory standards. Must have experience working with all levels of employees/leadership. Demonstrated skill in working with others with discretion and diplomacy required.
