| Associates Degree Duties:Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, coordination and referral of pateints in the Emergency Department and throughout facility. Utilization of InterQual criteria to place pateints in the appropriate level of care and assist physicians and staff in documenting appropriate clinical condition. Evaluate observation patients and facilitate hospital admission or discharge. Transition/discharge planning of patients from the Emergency Department or Inpatient unit. Experience:Strong clinical backgroundin an acute carearea, Med/Surg or Critical Care,with five () yearsof recent experience required;Case Management experience preferred; strong computer background and knowledge of Interqual a plus Education: Must be a graduate of an NLN or CCNE accredited nursing program; Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred License/Certification: Valid and current IN RN license Skills: Exceptional communication, problem solving,a nd technical skills; takes initiative; team player; sound knowledge base of general medical information; ability to flex time and work area; ability to function independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team; strong computer skills and knowledge necessary; ability to work in a fast paced environment; will walk throughout hospital. |
